The idea of King being Bachman has been an open secret for a long time. He took on the identity of Bachman to write the types of stories he couldn't under his own name because of his reputation and popularity. But the cover was eventually blown, which was why the Bachman novels were reissued as an omnibus by King and individually as "Stephen King writing as Richard Bachman".

Other authors have done this, too. Agatha Christie was so typed with mysteries that when she wanted to branch out into romance fiction she had to publish that under the name "Mary Westmacott".

Yeah, I'm learning as I go. Its interesting. I take alot thing at face value so most of the time I don't dig deeper if I don't need to. His secret definitely would have been safe with me lol.
